More about Pharm@Sea

Meet the team

Here at Pharm@Sea, we pride ourselves on our friendly, helpful and professional team. We value the contributions of all, strive to put the patient first, and are always at hand if you’re seeking medical advice or further assistance. Here are some of their roles and how they intersect with your care.

Superintendent Pharmacist

At Pharm@Sea, our Superintendent Pharmacist takes the helm in upholding regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care. They oversee all pharmacy operations, working closely with our team to ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of medications. With their expert guidance, patients can trust in receiving valuable advice and patient-centred care.

Lead Pharmacist

Our lead pharmacist is the key driver in a highly motivated and performing team. They lead, manage and develop our team ensuring high professional standards and exemplary service delivery. They also contribute in business development, setting team training objectives, communications with other teams within the hospital and day to day upholding of ethical and legal obligations.

Clinical Pharmacist

Our Clinical Pharmacist at Pharm@Sea plays a crucial role in providing exceptional pharmacy services. As the Responsible Pharmacist, they ensure safe and optimal use of medications through clinical screening, accuracy checking, and patient counselling. Committed to maintaining high professional standards, they uphold SOP compliance within the pharmacy team. With a patient-first approach, they deliver outstanding patient experience, handle inquiries and complaints, and provide advice on healthy living.

Technicians

Our Pharmacy Technicians are registered professionals who play a vital role in the team. They are generally responsible for accurately labelling, assembling and packaging of medications. Under the supervision of the responsible pharmacist they provide valuable counselling to patients and offering advice on medication use. Some technicians have added qualifications to enable them to accurately check prescriptions or manage various aspects of the dispensary.

Dispensers

Our dispensers ensure that your prescription items are labelled and assembled in accordance with the regulations. They also help with over-the-counter sales, general advice and signposting, as well as dealing with telephone queries.

Health Counter Assistants

Our Health counter assistants are the face of the pharmacy. They provide a warm welcome to our patients, take in their prescription and regularly communicate with the patient in the event of delays or issues. Health counter assistants undergo specific training in customer service and dealing with minor ailments. They are fully trained to refer more complex issues to our pharmacists. Our counter assistants also collect patient feedback and pass it on to management for analysis, reporting and continuous improvement.

Invoicing Clerk

Our invoicing clerk ensures that the supply chain runs smoothly by engaging with suppliers and distributors to pass invoices and resolve queries.

Goods In Clerk

Our goods in clerk plays a vital role in ensuring stock flows regularly into the pharmacy. They are responsible for accurately checking what comes in from the suppliers and booking it in on our systems. The goods in clerk is also responsible for stock rotation, date checking, maintaining our dispensing robot and general stock management duties.

Procurement Manager

Our procurement manager ensures a steady supply of medicines in the pharmacy by using the NHS supply chain arrangement to purchase the medicine, resolving stock issues or shortages, finding new suppliers for specialised items and maintaining an excellent relationship with many suppliers and distributors.

Delivery Co-ordinator

Our delivery co-ordinator works tirelessly to use our systems to book prescriptions on delivery rounds and optimise them for efficiency to reduce our CO2 footprint. They communicate with patients and our drivers to guarantee a smooth delivery of medicines from our pharmacists’ hands to our patients’ homes. The delivery co-ordinator also collects patient feedback and passes it on to management for analysis, reporting and continuous improvement.
